Founds Group, formerly CJ Founds Associates, is a specialist consultancy providing project and programme management services to authorities across the UK. Courts partnered with Founds Group’s leadership team to define a new, powerful brand strategy built on their core purpose: to positively improve communities and the lives of the people who rely on them.
A New Core Message
Through a series of strategic workshops, we distilled their mission into a compelling core message: "Shaping Futures." This concept speaks directly to their work integrating digital systems, planning, and transport to create lasting, positive change in UK infrastructure. The central idea was supported by the powerful tagline, "We Shape Places where People Thrive," anchoring the brand in its commitment to community outcomes.
A Dynamic Visual Identity
The "Shaping Futures" concept became the foundation of the new visual identity. We evolved their existing logo into a dynamic and flexible system of unique, interlocking shapes. This visually represents the integration of their core services—Highways and Transport, Digital Infrastructure, and Planning and Placemaking—and their agile, collaborative approach.
While honouring the company's heritage by enhancing the existing blue and silver colour palette, we introduced a series of vibrant, energetic tones to create a more modern feel. This was complemented by striking, authentic imagery and a new, accessible font family, moving the brand away from generic industry clichés and towards a more human-centric story.
