Our proven process

We’ve been creating motion for over 20 years, and while every project is different, we’ve found that a clear methodology makes all the difference. We approach each project in three phases: Concept, Storyboard, and Production. Of course, there’s much more involved behind the scenes, but this framework keeps things clear and simple, which we like.

FAQs

Before we begin production, we'll map out an animation storyboard. It's a sequence of illustrated frames that map out visuals, transitions, pacing, and narrative. See below for an example storyboard, for Cloudflare Gaming:

Timelines vary by complexity, length and creative direction. Here are some example project timeframes based on deliverables

2D animation works in flat space, while 3D animation creates depth, realism and dimensional storytelling. 3D is especially effective for product walkthroughs, technical visuals, complex environments and experiential content where spatial clarity matters.

We use a range of industry standard tools including Maxon / Cinema 4D, 3ds Max from Audodesk, Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, alongside other specialist software where required.

Rather than relying on a fixed tech stack, we define the tools based on the specific needs of each project — whether that’s complexity, style, performance or delivery requirements. We always discuss and agree the chosen platforms upfront, ensuring the approach is right for your objectives before any build begins.
